Established in 1774 by William Preston, the Smithfield Plantation served not only as a home to his family but also as a cultural, aristocratic, social, and political center of the Montgomery County.

NOTE.
All “Sports Photography” had been moved to the “Galleries” section of this web site. The move allows me to include more than just a few pictures that I end up with after the games, road trips, and the like. The Galleries have an independent navigation menus and are organized by the sport, such as football, basketball, softball, volleyball, wrestling, soccer, et cetera. Within each sport, the photos are categorized by the year of competition and then arranged chronologically within that particular year. In some cases, where I don’t have enough photos to split the games by year, I just placed the game galleries at the higher level. Hopefully this arrangement makes sense and will be easy to navigate through.
Enjoy!
Harper Hall is a new residence hall that was recently built on the West Campus Drive. Durham Hall is in my opinion one of the most (if not THE most) odd buildings on campus. Although it features the Hokie stone, the upper part of the building is just weird looking.
